Journey in search of the wonders of the world: filming of the VK Places project has started in Komi

Famous bloggers Your Marusya, German Glaze and Vladlevsky, together with the VK Places project, went to explore the tourist routes of Komi.

The media expedition, which started on August 12, will last six days. And at the end of the trip, the project team will release a new film, from which VKontakte users will learn about the amazing natural and cultural locations of the region.

"The Komi Republic is a real treasure trove of Russia. In the new chapter of the VK Places project, his team will discover the amazing routes of this region. The film crew will see one of the wonders of Russia and walk through the karst landscape, look at coffee production and create a generic sign. All this and much more awaits travelers in a new media exhibition, which will end with the publication of an image video about tourism in the Komi Republic," commented Dmitry Uvarov, VK Director for Strategic Partnership. The media expedition began with an excursion program to the Manpupuner Plateau from the Otherworld tour operator, during which the project team got acquainted with a geological monument recognized as one of the seven wonders of Russia. Upon completion of the trip to this place of power, the film crew went on a trekking trip along the slopes of Mount Telposiz, the epic monastery of the northern winds, located on the territory of Russia's largest land national park Yugyd Va. The second day, surrounded by Komi nature, was entirely dedicated to the Paraskiny Lakes Nature Reserve, where guests enjoyed the beauty of karst landscapes and reservoirs, which are compared to the famous Lake Ritsa.

The media expedition continued in Syktyvkar, the capital of the region, and its surroundings. There, the film crew visited the production of the Luzales timber industry, got acquainted with the activities of the coffee companies Coffee Plus and Espresso Shop, visited the Ostrich Vasya farm and joined the northern water extreme in the Ostrov wake park. There was also an excursion into Komi culture. The project team was able to make an impression on her by meeting with ethnofuturist Yuri Lisovsky at the National Museum of the region and attending a concert of the Gaga Gulyanochka ensemble in the Elyaty Park family recreation park. The cultural part of the program, and with it the entire media expedition, will end with a trip to the village of Yb. The Finno-Ugric ethnopark located there will host master classes on traditional Komi baking and the creation of a generic sign.

Everything related to it deserves the closest attention from subjects interested in popularizing certain products and brands, including in the field of tourism. After our region joins the VK Places project, even more people will learn about its tourist attractions, including our potential guests," Evgeny Mazur, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Komi Republic and Minister of Economic Development, Industry and Transport of the Komi Republic, commented on the event. The VK Places project is being implemented with the support of the Institute for Internet Development (ANO "IRI"). Within its framework, 70 image videos about the subjects of the Russian Federation will be released by the end of 2024. Filming has already taken place in 58 of them. In the Komi Republic, the project is being implemented on behalf of the Head of the Komi Republic, with the support of the Government and the Ministry of Economic Development, Industry and Transport of the Komi Republic, with the participation of the Agency for Tourism Development and Promotion of the Komi Republic.
