Almost 28,000 Komi residents lost their jobs in six months

The number of jobs turned out to be lower.

According to the Comistat, 27.8 thousand people lost their jobs in the republic in six months. The number of jobs turned out to be less — 26 thousand. Personnel at the enterprises of the region has decreased by 1.8 thousand since the beginning of the year. According to data for the same period last year, there were 28.6 thousand dismissals and 26.3 thousand job openings in Komi.

Mining, manufacturing, trade, catering and hospitality, IT, finance, science, healthcare, culture, and education have lost workers. At the same time, staff numbers have increased in agriculture, energy, construction, and trucking.

In six months, most of those who lost their jobs left on their own (19.7 thousand people did so), and only 388 employees were laid off.
